Dj Boneshaker

In the late summer of 1984 the music industry was given a gift that would be called DJ BoneshaKer. With early influences from his father and uncle, who were disco DJ’s performing in NYC in the 70’s and 80’s, and getting his first set of turntables at age 14, BoneshaKer was destined for big things. He paid his dues carrying crates and slinging records at events and private parties with his father and uncle at the young age of 9 and immediately took to the art. Getting his hands on his uncle’s turntables at the age of 10, a star was born. He quickly became engulfed in the art of mixing and recreating sounds with concepts and scratching that would build into a unique style all his own. DJ Demo and DJ AM also became huge influences over the rising talent. With the early influences of his parents along with support, and an obvious gift, DJ BoneshaKer has become a crowd pleaser at nearly every large venue on Long Island, spinning at parties with legends: Jonathan Peters, Robbie Rivera, Sizzahandz and Riz and Alesso, to name a few. Setting himself apart from others in the game, BoneshaKer’s creativity and high energy sets landed him on the radio for Party 105.3, Blaze 101.7, as well as guest sets on Strong Island Radio. His love of blending and mixing also made him a top seller of remixes and mash-ups on CrooklynCLan.net, Currently the Saturday night resident of one the largest venues on Fire Island, Flynns, DJ BoneshaKer proved his ability to cater to a crowd and keep them dancing all night previously with residencies at the Emporium, Glo and CPI. Along with Long Island, DJ BoneshaKer has spun in Queens at Stereo and others, in Manhattan at Pachita, Amnesia, Skyroom, Empire Hotel Rooftop, Tenjune, Hudson Terrace, along with many trips abroad to Switzerland. Having early influences from disco and hip hop and a natural love for house music, turntablism and the open format style, DJ BoneshaKer continues to evolve and incorporate different styles, genres of music and techniques, in an effort to carry on the great legacy of the finest DJ’s from New York.
